The “Seoul Children’s Eye Health Protection Project” is part of the “Seoul Children’s Happiness Project” announced by Mayor Oh Se-hoon, which supports eye examinations (vision tests) and discounts of up to 20% on the purchase of glasses for the eye health of children living with digital devices such as smartphones. Families with children under the age of 12 living in Seoul (born after January 1, 2012) are eligible.
Last year, it received applications in cooperation with five eyeglasses companies (50 glasses, Davichi glasses, Starvision (Olens), Glasses Manager, and the Seoul Eyeglasses Society of the Korea Eyeglasses Association), and 15,413 people applied.
This year, it will cooperate with four glasses companies (50 glasses, Davichi glasses, Starvision (Olens), and the Seoul Glasses Society of the Korea Glasses Association) to provide discount coupons for glasses (including visual inspection) that can be used at a total of 1,410 stores across Seoul. You can buy glasses at a discounted price after having an eye examination at the optician, and the discount rate is 20% for airline products and 5% additional discount from the existing discount sale price for event products.
